This Steve R. Mitts original, first painted in 2002, has been deconstructed and reborn through reclaimed wood. Inspired by the rhythmic patterns of gleaners in the field, the new composition mirrors the natural geometry of labor. It is a layered reflection on harmony, joining past and present with renewed strength. By integrating the original imagery into a contemporary structure, the work bridges two eras of his creative journey, honoring a long-standing theme while breathing new life into a foundational piece of his history.

Mitts combines contemporary structure with 16th Century Renaissance influences. Using a meticulous layering of acrylic washes and gels, he achieves a textured, stained glass finish. This piece is created on 100-year-old reclaimed grain bin wood, making the material as much a part of the story as the painting itself. Measures 24 1/2 x 26 x 2 1/2 inches deep.
